2001 Canadian International Air Show flies new acts!

• Elvises • wing walking • German & Dutch jets •

Toronto’s 52nd annual Canadian International Air Show will be one to remember with three new civilian acts to Toronto, returning U.S. Aerobatic Champions and lots of jet fire from four country’s air forces – Canada, the U.S., Germany and the Netherlands. As one of Canada’s premier aviation demonstrations, the 3-hour show will thrill audiences who love planes!

When: Labour Day weekend: Saturday, September 1, Sunday, September 2 and 
Monday, September 3. All shows begin at 1 p.m. 

Where: Over Lake Ontario at the Canadian National Exhibition, Toronto

Admission: The air show is free with admission to the CNE.

Military acts booked to date (as of May 1/01):

  • Canadian Forces Snowbirds (with the first-ever female pilot)

  • Canadian Forces CF18 Hornet demo

  • F15 Eagle from the U.S. Air Force

  • A10 “Warthog” from the U.S. National Guard

  • C-160 & a Tornado from the German Air Force

  • F16 from the Royal Netherlands Air Force

(*military participation subject to operational commitments)

Civilian acts booked to date (as of May 1/01):

  • **NEW** The E-Team, Elvises of the Sky (skydivers – “Elvis has left the plane”)

  • **NEW** Beauty and the Beast (husband & wife wing walking team)

  • **NEW** Red Baron Stearman Squadron (4-plane formation team)

  • Sean Tucker (multi award-winning U.S. National Aerobatic Champion; only Cdn show)

  • Patty Wagstaff (multi award-winning U.S. National Aerobatic Champion; only Cdn show)

  • Steve Coan (5-time U.S. National Aerobatic Champion in his self-launching sailplane)
