MEDIA DAY
Thursday, September 1, 2005
Lester B. Pearson International Airport

 

What:

The Canadian International Air Show will be holding a Media Day
at Lester B. Pearson International Airport offering media the opportunity to interview performing pilots and crews.

Timing of the events is as follows:

  • 11:00 Arrival of the CF 18 Hornet

  • 12:00 Interviews with the CF 18 Demonstration team

  • 11:30 Arrival of the USAF F-16 Demonstration team

  • 12:30 Interviews with the USAF F-16 Demonstration team

  • 14:00 Conclusion of media day

Arrivals times unknown at this time.

  • Canadair built F-104 “Starfighter”

  • Russian MIG 17

  • P-51 Mustang         

* Note   It is important to wear comfortable clothing. No open toed shoes are allowed.
Please note Media should arrive at 9:30 a.m. to be cleared through security. This is a mandatory process that will require your co-operation.


 
Where:

Central De-icing Facility

Go to Central De-icing building, 1st building on the right after you are on Airport property.

When:

Thursday September 1, 2005

Approximately 11am to 1400

Arrival Time for Security Clearance: 9:00 a.m.

Juice, donuts and water will be provided. (Times to be confirmed closer to event, please check with office)

Please note, only Modern Military aircraft are stationed at Lester B. Pearson Airport. Civilian aircraft will not be in attendance as they are located at Toronto City Centre Airport.
